Palolem Beach :

         One of the most beautiful beaches of Goa, Palolem lies far south of Goa. It is a white sand beach with calm water.

         The crystal clear water is swimmer's paradise. The breath taking view of the sea from the cliff at one end is worth watching. And at another end is the Canacona Island.

         Swimming and sun bathing can be enjoyed here in complete isolation.

         At the southern end of the beach across the stream is Pandava's Drum, a large cup shaped rock. It is known so because it eminates a resonant sound when hit with a stone on a particular place. Many mythological stories are associated with this place.

         To the northenmost end of the beach across the sunset point is an island, where you can see mussels, sea urchins, sea cucumbers where a perfect day break can be enjoyed. Snorkelling can be done in the rocks adjoining the island

         Dolphin Spotting trips are arranged by local fishermen as there are lot of dolphins in this area.

         There are regular buses from Margao to Canacona, the nearest bus stand.
